§ Mr. FreesonI understand that difficulties over ensuring adequate provision for the upkeep of common parts does, on occasions, cause some building societies to be reluctant to lend on converted flats in London. However, the topic is one which has already arisen in talks between the Building Societies Association and the local authority associations. Those discussions are leading, I believe, to a more sensitive approach on several issues.
