asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the terms of reference of the Programme Planning Group, set up jointly by the Scottish Health Service Planning Council and the Advisory Council on Social Work to review current policies in relation to the mentally disordered; and when it is expected to report.

The programme planning group was set up last year by the Scottish Health Service Planning Council and the Advisory Council on Social Work to advise these bodies onpolicies relating to the provision of health, social work and related services for the mentally disordered. The group is expected to report to the parent bodies from time to time on matters on which it wishes to make recommendations.
