whether he is aware of difficulties which have arisen through the lack of shorthand secretarial facilities at public inquiries; and if he will consider authorising the 559W provision of these facilities for inspectors at all future public inquiries.
§ Mr. John SilkinMy right hon. Friend is not aware of any general difficulties. Shorthand secretarial facilities are made available when the occasion demands, but my right hon. Friend does not consider it necessary that they should be provided at all local inquiries.
