§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish in the Official Report the cost of attendance payments for each of the district councils of Wales for the most recent available period, together with the number of councillors who are members of each of these authorities.
§ Mr. Alec JonesLocal authorities are not required to inform my right hon. and learned Friend of the amounts of 531W attendance allowance they pay to their members. The numbers of elected members in each district council in Wales is given in Table III (a)(iii) of the official publication " Local Government in England and Wales—A Guide to the New System " a copy of which is in the Library.
