Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the current estimate of the empty council houses and flats in the Greater London area; and how many of these are classified as unavailable for reletting.

The Department's latest relets survey found that on 31st December 1974 about 0.9 per cent. of local authority housing revenue account dwellings in Greater London were vacant and available for letting and about 1.3 per cent.

The information relating to rail improvements in Glasgow is as follows:
