HC Deb 13 April 1976 vol 909 cc458-9W
Mr. Mackintosh

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish for each university in receipt of grant from the University Grants Committee the amount of recurrent grant for 1976–77.

Mr. Mulley

The allocation of recurrent grant for 1976–77 so far notified by the University Grants Committee to universities amounts to £543.5 million. Details are given below. Since the total grant of £581 million is now in the form of a cash limit, including future wage and salary increases whose incidence is not yet known, the Committee has decided in the interests of equity to make the balance the subject of subsequent allocation.
