HC Deb 12 April 1976 vol 909 cc371-2W
Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether members of local parole review committees in Yorkshire and Humber-side receive salaries or allowances in respect of their services; how much they receive; and whether it is in respect of full or part-time service.

Dr. Summerskill

All members are part-time and none receives any fee or salary in respect of their membership. Travelling and subsistance allowances are payable, and members who are not probation officers or prison governors may be paid financial loss allowances of up to £4 a day for a period of not more than four hours and £8 for a longer period.
