§ Sir Bernard Braineasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will appoint a representative of voluntary societies which oppose biological methods of research involving cruelty to animals to the appropriate advisory committee.
§ Dr. SummerskillMy right hon. Friend has no plans to appoint such a representative. He did, however, appoint in 1975 four independent non-scientific members to the Committee.
