HC Deb 12 April 1976 vol 909 c363W
Mr. Edge

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the particular constraints which prevent the subsequent upgrading of the A5(D) junction with the H10, he considers the connection of the A5(D) to the proposed V8 via a temporary alignment at Mount Farm to be a flexible and economic alternative for meeting the traffic needs of the area in the 1980s.

Mr. Marks

I have given careful consideration to my hon. Friend's suggestion but do not think it would provide a flexible, economic or suitable alternative.
