HC Deb 08 April 1976 vol 909 c318W
Mr. Moonman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services which areas are without adequate child guidance services; and what plans are to be made to provide adequate services.

Dr. Owen

Health and local authorities have been asked to review their arrangements for child guidance; and the effectiveness of these arrangements should form part of that review. Authorities have been asked to agree proposals for the future in their areas, taking into account local needs and resources as well as prospective developments in related services; and to inform my right hon. Friend of these plans by the end of 1976.
