Member is referring to sand and gravel surveys, sponsored by my Department, which are being conducted by the Mineral Assessment Unit of the Institute of Geological Sciences. The work has concentrated on identifying resources of aggregates for construction purposes. The Unit has not investigated deposits of sand in Norfolk, North-West.
