§ Mr. Pattieasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many of the 50 projects identified by the United States of America as being potential defence purchases from Europe are British projects; and if he will arrange for British industry to be given the list of all 50 projects.
§ Mr. MasonI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Beckenham (Mr. Goodhart) on 9th March 1976 in which I advised that the United Kingdom had submitted to the USA for consideration a list of 50 equipments. All these equipments submitted are British although two of them are the results of collaboration with other European countries. As regards publication of the list, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave him on 25th November 1975. The various trade associations are aware of its contents and should have by now informed firms.—[Vol. 907, c.227; Vol. 901, c. 113.]
