Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on what new industry is planned over the next five years.

Mr. Orme

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 1st April 1976], gave the following information:

The Government will continue their efforts to attract new industry to Northern Ireland and will continue to provide financial assistance from public funds to private firms with plans to locate or expand in the Province. In addition, the Northern Ireland Development Agency, when established, will have a key rôle to play in stimulating industrial development in Northern Ireland, including the setting up of state enterprises.
