§ The Prime MinisterMy meeting with the Executive Council of the Wales TUC on 10th October was not a public occasion, but I have placed a copy of the Press notice which was issued after the meeting in the Library of the House.
§ Q20. Mr. Wigleyasked the Prime Minister what recent consultations he has had with the Wales TUC.
§ Q23. Mr. Tomlinsonasked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on his meeting with the Wales TUC on 10th October.
§ The Prime MinisterTogether with a number of my colleagues I met the Executive Council of the Wales TUC on 10th October. There was a full discussion of the detailed representations which it submitted covering the present economic situation in Wales, unemployment, particularly amongst young peouple, local authority expenditure, regional policy, industrial training, the steel industry and selective import controls. My right hon.398W Friends the Secretaries of State for Industry and for Wales will have further discussions with the Wales TUC shortly and I hope to follow this up myself with a meeting in Wales early next year.
