§ Mr. Madelasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether, in view of the delay in announcing the names of the members of the committee inquiring into industrial democracy, he has now abanddoned his intention of introducing legislation in the 1976–77 parliamentary Session.
§ Mr. ShoreNo. It is still my intention to introduce legislation within that parliamentary Session.
§ Mr. Bulmerasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will ensure that both sides of the argument within the trades union movement over worker directors are represented on his forthcoming Committee of Inquiry on Industrial Democracy.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisMy right hon. Friend intends to ensure that the committee consists of people with a wide range of relevant experience and background and that a reasonable balance is maintained between the different views represented on it. It will be open to organisations and individuals of all views to give evidence to the committee and I hope that they will do so.
