§ Mr. Woofasked the Secretary of State for Industry what is his estimate of the present rate of industrial production; and whether such a rate of production can be maintained.
§ Mr. KaufmanThe provisional estimate for the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production for August of this 271W year is 99.1 (1970=100). So far as the future level of output is concerned, there are signs of a slowing down in the rate at which industrial activity has been falling.
