HC Deb 21 October 1975 vol 898 c134W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many bilingual or Welsh medium primary schools there are in areas of Wales where English is the first language of the community; and how this compares with the number in June 1964.

Mr. John Morris

The number of designated bilingual primary schools in predominantly English speaking areas of Wales rose from 28 in 1960 to 48 in 1974. The figure for 1964 is not available.
