HC Deb 26 November 1975 vol 901 c230W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will introduce proposals to increase the level of the temporary employment subsidy to equate with the cost of unemployment benefit and to make it available in any redundancy situation.

Mr. Booth

All aspects of the temporary employment subsidy scheme are kept under constant review. The scope of the scheme was extended to the whole of Great Britain on 24th September. I am not yet convinced that it would be appropriate to introduce any further extension.
