§ 54. Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has now received the final report of the Camp bell Working Party on Co-operative Housing; and when he expects to issue guidance to local authorities in the light of its recommendations.
§ Mr. FreesonI refer my hon. Friend to the answer given on 24th October to the hon. Member for Colne Valley (Mr. Wainwright).—[Vol. 898, c.289.]
§ Mr. Higginsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment by how much grants to non-profit making housing associations would have to be increased to 210W enable their rents to be reduced to the level of controlled rents in properties of a similiar age and type.
§ Mr. FreesonGrants are payable to registered housing associations, under the Housing Act 1974, equal to the actual deficit expected to arise in respect of each individual approved housing project. In addition both registered rents, which housing associations receiving grant are normally expected to charge, and controlled rents are fixed in relation to specific situations. In these circumstances the hon. Member's Question cannot be answered in general terms but if he has a particular case in mind perhaps he would care to write to me.
