HC Deb 04 November 1975 vol 899 c118W
Mr. Watkinson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if the two control units at Wakefield Prison and Wormwood Scrubs will be physically changed now that they will no longer be used for their original purpose.

Dr. Summerskill

It is not envisaged that any changes will be necessary. Although the accommodation at Wake-field had been used immediately beforehand as a hostel outside the prison walls, it was by origin a traditional cellular wing of the prison. At Wormwood Scrubs little physical alteration was ever carried out.
