(2) what sum of money has been made available from public funds for the use of agencies engaged in campaigns to improve literacy.
§ Mr. PrenticeThe Adult Literacy Resource Agency, which invited the 317W National Institute of Adult Education to establish, is administering a sum of £1 million, which my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I have made available for use by the end of the present financial year, to assist local education authorities and other bodies to combat adult illiteracy.
