§ Mr. PeartAccession compensatory amounts, which have the effect of reducing the prices of imports into the United Kingdom, were reintroduced for canned hams and other pigmeat products with effect from 1st May, following the decline in world prices for feed grains. No accession or monetary compensatory amounts are payable on peaches, table grapes, oranges and cucumbers, and there364W are no countervailing charges currently in operation on these items.
