HC Deb 01 May 1975 vol 891 cc241-2W
Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the maximum amount of financial aid available under the farm capital grants scheme in Northern Ireland to assist in making a connection to a public mains water supply.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

Under the farm capital grant scheme, provided the terms and conditions of the scheme are satisfied, grant is available at the rate of 20 per cent. of the approved cost of making a connection from a farm to a public mains water supply. If the work is for the benefit of hill land or of benefit in the farming of hill land the rate of grant is 50 per cent. of the approved cost.
