Mr. Ripponasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how much water, in mgl, is currently being supplied by : (a) Tees Valley and Cleveland Water Board, (b) Newcastle and Gateshead Water Company to the Tyneside area, (c) Tynemouth Corporation Waterworks, (d) Sunderland and South Shields Water Company. (e) Durham County Water Board, (f) Hartlepools Water Company, (g) Darlington Corporation Waterworks, and (h) direct abstraction for industry, respectively ; what are the present estimates in mg1 of demand for water in 1981, 1991 and 2001 by (a) to (h) above ; and when it is expected that the Tyne-Tees transfer works, including the tunnel, will be completed and ready for use.
