§ Mr. Staintonasked the Attorney-General if he will arrange for affected Members to be informed of the source of representations for the removal of the Crown court from Bury St. Edmunds and the reasons therefor; and if he will ensure that all relevant local views will be considered before the question is decided.
§ The Attorney-General:My noble Friend has not received any representations from any source suggesting the removal of the Crown court from Bury St. Edmunds. If at any time my noble Friend were to consider removing the Crown court from Bury St. Edmunds he would inform all concerned of such a proposal, invite representations, and take into consideration all relevant opinions before deciding the matter.
