§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether, in the interests of industrial democracy, he will not include in his nationalisation proposals any shipbuilding, ship repairing and marine engineering concern unless the proposal has received the full support of the work force in that concern expressed by means of a ballot of all employees.
§ Mr. MeacherNo. I am satisfied that the broad mass of employees in these industries support the Government's proposals for public ownership.
