§ Dr. OwenWe would like to see an increased level of investment in general hospital psychiatric units of adequate size to serve their districts, but the pace of development of these facilities has to be related to that for other health and social services and to the resources available. The White Paper we aim to publish in early summer will set out our strategy for the development of psychiatric facilities taking account of resources available.
