HC Deb 25 June 1975 vol 894 c143W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister on what date he received the report of the Boyle Committee on MPs' salaries; when he expects to publish this report; and, in view of the fact that MPs are the only public servants who have not had a salary increase since January 1972, whether he will make an early announcement of the Government's intention to propose an increase in the salaries of Members of Parliament.

The Prime Minister

Lord Boyle submitted Part I of the Top Salaries Review Body's report on parliamentary remuneration to me on Friday 13th June 1975. The report will be published simultaneously with an announcement by the Government as soon as it has completed its detailed consideration of the report.
