§ Mr. JohnOn the whole, recruitment to all three Services is going reasonably424W well at present, althoueht there are shortages in certain areas, particularly the more skilled technical trades. However, there is good reason to believe that Service recruiting has now largely recovered from the effects of the raising of the school leaving age which seriously depressed the recruiting figures during 1973–74.
