§ Mr. Leeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 26W if he will make a statement with regard to the determination by the Spanish courts of all matters outstanding against Brian Wall, at present incarcerated in Cadiz Prison.
§ Mr. HattersleyMr. Wall is in Jerez Prison serving a 10-year sentence imposed on 21st November 1974 for drug trafficking. His appeal against sentence was rejected. A contraband tribunal hearing on 7th February 1974 has been postponed pending valuation of the drugs. Provisions exist for appeal against the tribunal's findings and in due course for a petition for clemency.
