§ 38. Miss Fookesasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if Her Majesty's Government will initiate legislation to exempt student accommodation from the Rent Act 1974 in time to assist those students who will be beginning courses in the forthcoming academic year.
§ Mr. ArmstrongAfter consulting a wide range of outside bodies we have concluded that such an exemption would be unlikely to yield significant benefits of a sort that would justify the time of Parliament in the remainder of this Session.
