§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will publish his plans to reorganise the Royal Naval Reserve, and, in particular, what changes he envisages for the Tyne Division; and whether the division is to retain a mine countermeasure reserve based on the Tyne.
§ Mr. JuddThe decisions on the future role and structure of the Royal Naval Reserve which I announced in the debate on 9th July—[Vol. 895, c. 552 and 663–4]—apply to Tyne Division. On present plans a mine countermeasures vessel will continue to be based there.
