§ 50. Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, in view of the fact that a man with a wife and two children earning £35 per week, with rent of £6 and rates of £2 per week, would have £26.90 a week spending power when at work and £40.15 when unemployed for up to 14 weeks per year, if she will take steps to remedy such anomalies.
