§ Mr. Denis HowellIn 1974–75 the Department's support for desalination research totally £60,000. In 1975–76 no research into desalination is being supported directly by the Department, but the Water Research Centre, which receives grant from the Department, is maintaining an oversight of developments in desalination technology.
