HC Deb 09 July 1975 vol 895 cc183-4W
Mr. Watt

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) what were the total numbers of males and females in part-time shore employment ancillary to the fishing industry during the years 1973 and 1974 in the ports of Aberdeen, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Macduff, Buckie and Lossiemouth, respectively;

(2) what were the total numbers of males and females in full-time shore employment ancillary to the fishing industry during the years 1973 and 1974 in the ports of Aberdeen, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Macduff, Buckie and Lossiemouth, respectively.

Mr. John Fraser

I regret that the information is not available. My Department's employment statistics are analysed according to the Minimum List Headings most recent count; and how this figure compares with those obtaining in the same month of 1973 and 1974;

(4) how many people were unemployed in the area covered by the Kidsgrove employment office at the most recent count; and how the figure compares with those obtaining in the same month of 1973 and 1974.

Mr. John Fraser

Following is the information:

of the Standard Industrial Classification which does not separately identify shore employment ancillary to the fishing industry.
