HC Deb 04 July 1975 vol 894 c570W
Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many local authorities have applied to his Department for the costings of minimal conversions of dwellings referred to in paragraph 26 of Department of the Environment Circular 24/75; and how many, having received this information, have subsequently indicated to him that they propose to undertake work of this kind under Section 105 of the Housing Act 1974.

Mr. Armstrong

Several requests for the costings have been received but no record of the local authorities concerned has been made. It is not necessary for a local authority to advise the Department of individual schemes of conversion undertaken within the expenditure limit approved for that authority during 1975–76 under Section 105 of the Housing Act 1974.
