Mr. McNamara

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will confirm that he proposes to appoint inspectors to investigate the affairs of Darjeeling Holding Company Limited.

Yes. It was announced on 2nd July that the Secretary of State proposes to appoint inspectors under the provisions of Section 164 of the Companies Act 1948 following the receipt of applications for investigation of the affairs of the company from some 140 shareholders holding in excess of 20 per cent. of the issued share capital.
