§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will seek to amend the definition of a woodworking machine contained in Regulation 2 of the Woodworking Machines Regulations 1974, so as to require all materials having a similar cutting and forming characteristic to wood to be machined on machines guarded to the standard specified in the regulations.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that this matter will be taken fully into account when the commission turns its attention to the question of amending the Woodworking Machines Regulations in pursuance of Section 1(2) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
