§ Mr. Rymanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many police officers in Hong Kong have been dismissed from the service during the past three years as a result of misconduct committed by them in the course of their duties.
§ Mr. Ennals221 rank and file and nine officers have been dismissed for misconduct during the period. Hong Kong statistics do not, however, distinguish between misconduct in the course of duty and misconduct in other circumstances. The total strength of the Hong Kong police force is about 16,000.
