§ Mr. StrangThere are 67 export-approved slaughterhouses in the United226W Kingdom; 42 of them are in England and Wales, 15 in Scotland and 10 in Northern Ireland. The capacity of these slaughter-houses has been adequate for the export trade in carcase meat since licences for the export of live animals were suspended and, as the O'Brien Committee recommended, we shall, of course, keep the situation under review.
