Mr. Critchleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will take steps to achieve a common EEC position on the problem of territorial waters, given the desire demonstrated by the majority of the participants of the Third Conference of the Law of the Sea for extension of territorial waters to 12 nautical miles, and the establishment of a national economic zone of up to 200 nautical miles.
