asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on the official policy of the Government on the principle of collective responsibility.

I refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Tonbridge and Malling (Mr. Stanley) on 26th November last. This remains the position with the sole exception of the contingency mentioned in my statement in the House on 23rd January.
