HL Deb 19 December 1975 vol 366 c1647WA
Lord O'HAGAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many listed buildings not belonging to local authorities have been repaired by them in each of the last five years.

The PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE, DEPARTMENT of the ENVIRONMENT (Baroness Birk)

Local authorities are not required to notify my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for the Environment, or to obtain his consent, before carrying out repairs to listed buildings not belonging to them. Information on the numbers repaired over the last five years is not therefore available.
