asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will publish in the Official Report a table showing the total expenditure in each regional health authority area in England and Wales, as well as centrally by her Department for the years 1973–74 and 1974–75 and listing, in percentage terms, the breakdown

The total expenditure incurred by the Department centrally on all health services was £21 million in 1973–74 and £26 million in 1974–75; both figures represent 0.8 per cent. of total expenditure. When the accounts of health authorities for 1974–75 have been received and processed in the Department they will provide for that year the information asked for, and I will circulate it in the Official Report.
