HC Deb 18 December 1975 vol 902 c693W
Q23. Mr. Sproat

asked the Prime Minister if he plans to meet the Prime Minister of Iceland to discuss the present fishing dispute; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Edward Short

I have been asked to reply.

No. But my right hon. Friend sent a personal message to Mr. Hallgrimsson, the Icelandic Prime Minister, at the end of November. The purpose of the message was described in the reply which my right hon. Friend gave yesterday to my hon. Friend the Member for Newham, North-West (Mr. Lewis).
