HC Deb 15 December 1975 vol 902 cc508-9W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if persons serving on industrial tribunals have been given any instructions or advice concerning the need to save public expenditure in the making of tribunal decisions.

Mr. Booth

No. Industrial tribunals are independent judicial bodies which decide cases and, where appropriate, award compensation on the facts given to them as evidence and in the light of the law concerned. If my hon. Friend has in mind some particular point which he wishes to raise I shall be glad to consider it.
