In the same period, the visible trade deficit with all countries was £2,523 million, and the current account deficit was £1,359 million.

§ Mr. ShoreOn a balance of payments basis, the proportion of our total imports arriving from the rest of the EEC was 35 per cent. in the first nine months of 1974 and 37 per cent. in the first nine months of 1975. Similar figures for exports are 34 per cent. and 31 per cent. respectively.
