§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action she proposes to take on the recommendations made by Professor Bell in her study of the supplementary benefit appeal tribunal system.
§ Mr. O'MalleyThe recommendations are being given detailed consideration as part of a general review of the supplementary benefit appeal tribunal system which will be carried out in consultation with the Council on Tribunals. Interested bodies and individuals have been invited to submit views in the light of Professor Bell's research and these are being taken into account along with other suggestions that have been made.
