HC Deb 09 December 1975 vol 902 cc156-8W
Mrs. Chalker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what cuts she intends to make in the works staff of the NHS in the various regional health authority headquarters;

(2) when she expects to agree the new staff structure for all posts below assistant regional engineer in the works staffs of the NHS regions.

Dr. Owen

We are looking to health authorities to seek maximum economies in costs of administration in all disciplines, after the fullest consultation with staff representatives. The Department will be giving advice to regional health authorities soon which will I hope remove the uncertainties of works staff with regard to the grades mentioned.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will set out in the Official Report the last six salary increases awarded to those employed
