Since the Work Research Unit was set up at the end of last year, it has received many requests for information and advice on improving the quality of working life from a very wide range of organisations. Its staff are assisting managements and trade unions to bring about improvements at the work-place and, in order to deal with the widespread interest in its services, the Unit is also arranging seminars and developing training courses for people from industry.
